Registration includes a free reusable shopping bag to support Green purchasing decisions.

Explore environmental, economic, and nutritional impacts of our global food system. Investigate ways to reduce the resource-intensive distance your food travels by shopping at farmers markets, investing in community-supported agriculture (CSA) projects, and frequenting restaurants that feature local foods. We will connect with Missouri and Illinois farmers as we visit Saturday markets and tour an urban farm. The workshop concludes with lunch provided by a St. Louis restaurant known for serving local fare.
