EarthWays Center 2006 – Promoting Sustainable Energy & Resource Use

This year has brought staff changes and a closer alignment with the Education Division of the Missouri Botanical Garden.  Program-wise we continue to provide homeowners with information on how to keep energy costs low, comfort levels high and resource use in line with future needs.  We’re working with k-12 and university students to advance recycling education and energy education, especially as it relates to solar energy.  And our work with the St. Louis Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council continues to grow as we now have a dedicated staff position to coordinate these essential and effective efforts.

New signage will be incorporated into the EarthWays Home this year along with a House of Pressure – an excellent tool to understand how a house operates as a system.  These items compliment the new additions from last year – a wind turbine, tankless water heater, recycled product cabinets, new compost bin, efficient exit lights and new air quality curriculum.

Come visit EarthWays - the place to have the conversation about sustainable energy and resource use!

Check this calendar listing often – new events will be added.
